When It's Not Working

Greetings Everyone and welcome to this addition of “It’s YOUR Life!” I’ll still be your host, the enthusiastic and sometimes very witty Christopher Rausch.

Before I begin, a sincere THANK YOU to all who have joined our group, to all who have brought me into their lives to make a difference, and to all who let me know that this is really impacting your life. The most common reply I hear after these postings goes like this “Wow Christopher – that really hit me and at the time I need it the most, Thank you..” This is why I’m here ladies and gentlemen!

Alrighty, on with the show

Just a few months ago, I sat alone and reflected on my progress with the goals I set to achieve early in 2009.  As I reviewed my progress, I began feeling this disappointment gap between what I planned to have checked off and what was actually accomplished. In that moment of reality, I knew I had to change stuff up and PRONTO! The path I’m on is WAY to important to give up without a fight!

You see, we have a tendency to daydream these vivid fantasy pictures in our mind of what our final achievement will look like. Then, unfortunately very often, we close in on the target date and come to the realization we’re off-track. Our once beloved pictures of excitement and elation turn cloudy and dark. Disappointment and frustration dig in and we simply give up. Oh, we try and turn ourselves around, but the negative self-talk launches a vicious sabotage assault on our confidence receptors. With all of these overpower feelings happening all at once, we throw in the towel and retreat to our comfortable couches where it’s safe. Problems averted right? WRONG!!!!

Listen, if achieving your life-long dreams were easy, then you wouldn’t truly ever appreciate the value of experiencing the joy and happiness. I’m here to tell ya, that becoming successful and maintaining it, takes a lot of hard work, sacrifice, commitment, belief, and most importantly – PASSION!

DO NOT give up on yourself because you are off target – redefine the target to be more realistic, break the goal down into smaller chunks, and get a plan in writing. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have redefined goals and moved out completion dates, but I can tell you, it has and still is - all worth it!!!

My friends, you have two choices
1.  Work hard, learn lessons, give it 110%, and achieve your dreams
2. Sit back, complain, worry, be angry, sad, depressed, and die anywas

What are you going to choose?

As always, I’m here to help you with your specific struggles. My payment for services rendered? Let me know I helped!

All my best,

Christopher
