The Holidays - I Challenge You

Hey Everyone,

I've felt a tug at my heart over the last few weeks as the holidays approach and which leads me to my post here.

I have mentioned before that I have waived my fees in the past for speaking engagements and personal coaching sessions in favor of the "PAY IT FORWARD" concept of payment. Meaning, I do something nice for someone and they repay it by doing something out of the ordinary for 3 other people. The feedback has been TREMENDOUS and wanted to put it out to all of you

Last year, I started a new tradition (I didn't know it was a tradition until this year). When asked what I wanted for Christmas I said "make a donation to a local homeless shelter" and simply send me the receipt as my present. It was a fantastic turnout as shelters received almost $300 in donations! It's not a lot, but it's a start! You see, I have my health, a job, my friends, and some nice things so how can I ask for a material object when others are losing their jobs, houses, and barely putting food on the table? I remember times as a young kid not having a Christmas or having a delayed one with minimal presents. It was horrible.

I challenge you to do the same with your friends and family. I have always believed that people are inherently good, but we get caught up in the machine I call life. Together, we can change that one person at a time. Do you believe that too? There are SOOO many needy charities here in the U.S. who are in dire need of donations.

I encourage you to post your stories here so we can all share in the gift of giving this holiday season (and beyond). Let's have a goal that this thread breaks all records of posted replies!!!

Thank you Thank you THANK YOU

Christopher
